“Bishop Sabatini’s Third Book”

Our very own Bishop Sabatini’s third book, “Matthew the Tax Collector,” has just been published.  The book is a series of reflections on the Scriptural readings of every Sunday of the year, plus all of the holy days for this year. Whether you are an advanced Scripture scholar or just enjoy learning more about the Bible for personal growth, this book promises to be an insightful addition for your library.

The Bishop’s second book, “Thoughts of a Retired Bishop,” is also still available for purchase. The Bishop’s first book, “My Journey:  Musings of a Missionary,” was a huge success.  This autobiography told the Bishop’s story from his humble beginnings as a young man on the near west side of Chicago through his training in Rome to his extensive work in New York and throughout Canada.  With wit and candor, the Bishop shared many stories of his fascinating life including experiences with some of the most famous people who have shaped the Catholic Church as well as the world we live in today.  His second book continues to provide more of the clear insight and spiritual guidance that have guided so many people over the years.

If you would like to buy a copy of the Bishop’s third book, please telephone Pat at the Rectory. You may also purchase one at the back of the Church after each of the Masses. The cost of the third book is only $10 (50% off of the retail price).  Copies of his second book are also still available.  The price of the second book is $20, plus shipping (cash or check only).  Why not consider buying extra copies to give out as gifts? The Bishop’s books are wonderful publications for anyone interested in biographies as well as Catholic Church history.
