Loyola University's Museum of Art will present its annual Christmas exhibition, " The Art and Faith of the Creche," beginning Saturday, November 30, 2019. This collection features Christmas crèches from around the world gathered by James and Emilia Govan.
Over the course of almost 40 years, the Govans collected more than 500 crèches with each one featuring the unique clothing, animals, architecture, gifts, and art of the artist's home and culture.
The Museum is located at 820 N. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Although closed Monday and Tuesday, the Museum is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
