Have you been searching for a personal prayer ministry that will profoundly change your life? Are you looking for new ways to nurture and support the spiritual life of your family, parish, and overall community? Perhaps a new Adoration Society might be the answer for you.
The Saint Cabrini Eucharistic Adoration Society is a ministry within the mission of The National Shrine of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, and is sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Members of this Adoration Society are dedicated to the spiritual transformation of individuals, families, and society through the personal piety that comes with adoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament as practiced by St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. They believe the graces bestowed upon Mother Cabrini to help her achieve the impossible for God are also possible for us today through our own faith and the presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. In addition to developing the practice of Eucharistic Adoration, members also strive to enhance their daily prayer habits.
The National Shrine of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini is located at 2520 N. Lakeview Avenue in Chicago. Participants meet weekly on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (free parking is available). Committed, prayerful, practicing Catholics are always welcome to become active members. If you are interested in joining, please contact the Shrine’s director, Sr. Bridget Zanin, M.S.C., at (773) 360-5733 for more information. You may also call The Saint Cabrini Eucharistic Adoration Society’s coordinator, Mickey Smith, at (773) 360-5115.
“Remember that the Blessed Sacrament is like a pillar of fire that is our light and guide.” – From the travels of Mother Cabrini (June 1, 1895).
