"Forgiveness doesn't change the past; it changes the future." - Blase Cardinal Cupich
We all seek forgiveness. We all need to forgive others. Sometimes we need to forgive ourselves, too. The problem is forgiveness isn't easy. For many people, forgiveness is an ongoing struggle. Yet, Jesus calls us to forgive - again and again and again.
How do we grow in our ability to forgive? What can we do to facilitate forgiveness? Why is it so hard to forgive in the first place? Are there different kinds of forgiveness? A new presentation, "Forgiving is a Way to Stop Hurting," will examine these and related questions.
The presentation will be offered on Thursday, February 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center of Holy Name Cathedral. Holy Name's Rector, Very Rev. Greg Sakowicz, will conduct the program. Fr. Sakowicz is also host of the "Catholic Chicago" show on WNDZ 750 AM radio every Monday and Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. There is no fee to attend, and everyone is welcome.
