Are you struggling with issues related to chastity? Do you often feel depressed or anxious because of your response to sexual temptations? Has the lure of explicit reading material and/or certain websites on the internet overwhelmed you in spite of your best intentions to abstain from them?
A new men’s sexual addiction support group has been formed to help address these concerns as well as other issues related to chastity. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, married or single, etc. For many men, sexual addiction issues are a lifelong struggle – especially with the steady onslaught of sexually suggestive messages presented by an aggressively secular media. Every day, men must battle against the pervasive temptations of pornography, masturbation, frequenting adult bookstores, marital infidelity, etc. As a result, even men with the best intentions are often challenged in their efforts to remain chaste. The men in this group, however, understand those feelings and are here to help without judgment or condemnation.
The Men’s Sexual Addiction Support Group is anonymous, free of charge, and open to every guy who thinks he could benefit from this type of program. Weekly sessions are held on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. in the lower level of St. Peter’s in the Loop Church, 110 W. Madison Street in Chicago. You can stop by once a month, or every week if you desire. There is no right or wrong way to participate in this program. The main point is for men to know they are not alone in this struggle, and help is available from others who understand because they have gone through the same experience. If you or someone you know might benefit from this type of support group, why not check it out?
