A St. Padre Pio Prayer Group has been formed at ST. JOHN CANTIUS CHURCH, 825 N. Carpenter Street in Chicago. The group meets on the third Saturday of each month.
All of the meetings begin with a Latin (Tridentine) Mass at 8:30 a.m., followed by a recitation of the Chaplet of St. Padre Pio. Next, the group prays for the Holy Father’s special prayer intentions for that month and for the success of the “Home for the Relief of Suffering” in Foggia, Italy. There is a brief reception with light refreshments after the conclusion of the meeting. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in this devotion to one of our most beloved saints. If you would like more information, you may telephone the St. John Cantius Rectory at (312) 243-7373.
There is also a St. Padre Pio Prayer Cenacle that meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, 1224 W. Lexington Street in Chicago. The service runs from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in honor of this beloved saint. For additional details, you can telephone the Shrine at (312) 421-3757.
